I agree, but alot of parts have to be modified to be used. Every Edelbrock Intake I've gotten has had to be milled to fit. This is a GM part and they didn't design it for that.
If you want the look of a cast Pontiac valve cover the options are slim. The rockers can handle that that cut off and not affect strength.
