i was in the same boat as you a year ago and looked at the powertrax unit, eaton, and auburn gear. the guys at jegs recommended the auburn gear unit. i found a killer deal on a "pro unit" by A/G so i went with it. no troubles what so ever. i installed it in my garage with no problems. are you going to replace the ring and pinion also? i didn't. just be sure to check the backlash before you take it apart and get it back within +/- .001" of what it originally was if you retain the stock ring and pinion. get the shim pack from summit or jegs and take your time.
