The price I got was for the head and stem apart. It's not real hard to take apart, you just need to be careful. The head is attached to the base with a screw. On the remote control end you need to open up the crimped ends that hold the cables in,be real careful not to break-off as I beleive this is white metal. once you get the three cables disconected the mirror and cable can be remove as a unit from the head. Note:The cables and remote are color coded. Am not sure when I'll be ready to have mine chromed so I can't give you a good answer. Am going to use another remote I have once I get the car back together.
I wasn't able to go to e-town this year,no car, but I was there the previous 3-years, actually got lucky and placed in modified all three times. We may have met at Kellersville. Had my car (Burgundy 66 LeMans) there a number of times! Are you going to Atco?
