www.madelectrical.com they have a good article on alternators and part numbers of delco 12SI types which go up to about 95 amps in a OEM design meaning they are designed for high current, with proper cooling, etc. not just a rewind which may output over a hundred but not work at idle, or burn up because of insufficient cooling.
