I have a similar problem being 6'4. I was told to cut the seat rails. Pull the seat all the way up and you'll notice the rail will end, and then turn and drop down about an inch before turning into the bracket which you bolt together. Cut that drop part off and weld the rail back together and then cut the front the same amount. I never tired it because I wasn't sure about the plastic seat tirm hitting the floor. Its an idea you might look at.
