I think the 1 ga. cable is what was the trick for me, as I ran the old cable to my new mini starter, and I still had the same problem, but I had headers. I also put a heat resistant sleave over the cable too, only at the end though.
Those mini's are nice toy's......I can not see anything anyway.
I used to hate, driving the car, pulling into a gas station, and a crowd would gather.....Only for the car not to start, sucked when the preasure was on.

Yeah, thats my problem, the car is kinda useless if Im afraid to restart the damn thing. If I need gas, I have to go to the station near my house asap so the engine doesnt heat up or I have the same problem you describe. I ordered the blanket and will see how that does and if that doesnt work, the mini-starter is next.
