Tom I understand entirely, my cam is still sound asleep at 3000 rpm, but when it wakes up it has a very bad attitude. I also locked the timing at 34 and by adding 2" headers and 3.5" exhaust was able to idle down from 1200 to 900 before touching mixture screws. BTW at this point I can cruise around in 5th (OD) at 1200 or 1500 rpms and roll into the gas without a bog. That took a lot of work. But I wish I had your challenge. I've seen two RA Vs though. ok so one was a bare 303 block and rods. Maybe someday. Ray
