I know this is an EXTREMELY OLD post, but looking through the search archives I came across this. Like Jeff said, it is easy to do, but the actual odometer dial must be removed from the speedometer. It took me about an hour tinkering around with it, but I got the dial to 000000 and set it back in...
Just wondering in anyone can help me, I want to know if they make new ones by any chance??? My big thing is on mine you can tell whe white numbers and tenths-in-miles wheel has yellowed as well. I'd like to refinish them so they look new again. How do I do this??
I'm almost afraid to take it into any local parts store and ask (in fear that people might not get that I'm resetting it back for the rebuilt engine) and end up walking out in handcuffs, ESPECIALLY because I live in government-rampant California.
