BLKBRD...mine was 2nd (or 3rd week of November..always forget) in Pontiac. I was there when my mechanic replaced it and there is NO doubt it was the original. No question those nuts had not been moved for 35 years!! We also immediately noticed a difference in the way the front (engine side) seal was done. The original seal slipped over the actuater shaft and simplely presses against the face of the booster. The repro seal was integral with the booster. Much nicer design. Unfortunately required spacing the master cylinder out from the booster....would have been nice had spacers been provided by the manufacturer or year 1. Of course, this is not the only time I have been left hunting for "extra" (using that term incredibly loosely) parts by year 1. Why don't they tell us these things a head of time?? It seems to me that yr1 has out grown itself.
