I think the old addage of "If you have to ask, you can't afford it" applies.
Not to sound like a prick, just saying is all.
I recently purchased paint for my funny car, to the tune of $940. This was just for all the colors. I had already spent $500 for primer and fiberglass materials for the prepwork. The Viper Red alone was $182 per quart.
From the way MHR describes the process, it sounds like they are chrome plating the sheetmetal. This is pricey in itself. Then they're painting a translucent color over it? Can you say "ca-ching ca-ching $$$"?
