With it theorized that the reason behind many blocks splitting up the #2 main being the vicinity of the motor mount(s), why wouldn't capping the front bulkhead be just as benefical as capping the rear bulkhead? I would think preventing the cylinder banks from pulling away from each other would be better accomplished by capping both ends instead of just one, no?
