Well after a lengthy discussion about Ram air and HO manifolds compared to regular manifolds and both of us agreeing that there were D and round port heads I asked if there was a difference between the standard and HO/RA manifolds. His answer confused more than clarified the situation. All I wanted to know was if I need HO/RA or standard. I was concerned there was a different type for HO and RA. I then asked about the manifold bolts that were shown on the web site, He said what manifold bolts and they did not sell any. I said they were on the web site. By now I was frustrated. The problem with the bolts on their web site was that the bolts were called 3/8 X 1 1/2 but in the description stated they were 1 1/4 inches long. I asked why. He did not know. He said it did not matter since I need 3 inch bolts. Later, I measured and do not see how three inch bolts will work. Anyway I thanked him and hung up. After hanging up I realized I had forgot about the flanges. So I called right back. I got a different guy. So I asked him what type of flanges I need for my exhaust manifold. His first words were “we do not sell exhaust manifolds”. I told him I had a set in my hands. He agreed they sold them. Then I asked about flanges. I asked three bolts or two bolts. The web site shows standard down pipes comes in two and three bolts. There is no description for the HO/RA down pipes. So since I was using HO/RA down pipes and my manifolds have one with a three bolt connection and one with a two bolt. I asked if I need to buy one of each. I told him the picture of the down pipes on the web site shows a connector on the end that looks like two bolts. I asked if the HO/RA set had one two bolt and one with three. He said that it did not matter it was my choice if I used two or three bolts? I said thank you and hung up. Today I still do not know what to order. Maybe it was just me and the way that I was describing things.

In our catalog, both online and printed for GTO, it states that with the Round Port and D-port Ram Air manifolds they use a 2-bolt exhaust flange on one side and 3-bolt exhaust flange on the other side These are to be ordered seperately as they do not come with down pipes as stated in the description of the down pipes. The bolts we list are for mounting the exhaust manifolds to the cylinder heads; not the exhaust flanges to the exhaust manifolds. The exhaust manifold to head bolts are 1 1/2" over all and have 1 1/4" threaded length. But most all ram air bolts for holding the manifolds to the head are 2 1/2" to 3" long; we are working on reproducing those right now.

I don't know where the confusion came in, maybe you didn't have enough info for the guy to figure out, car-year-exhaust manifold style, but I hope this solves your questions. We have most of what you need. ;)

FYI 64-67 Ram Air manifolds are the only years that uses 2 3-bolt flanges on a GTO
