I went with a 700R4 behind my 550hp motor have been driving it now for over a year with out any issues. It was cheaper to build up the 700R4 at this performance level than the 2004R would cost. Just make sure you get the TV cable system (kit) from bowtieoverdrive at
www.700r4.com to avoid the common problems when installing the trans.
