Car was built 2nd week Dec 1971. My PHS docs don't mention the unitized distributor option but the car is a YE code block. Has anyone heard of a situation where it was not called out on the build sheet but in fact came with the unitized distributor. I suppose with GM, anything is possible.

The 72 455 HO engine codes for the unitized distributor were YB for the automatic and WM manual transmission. The points distributor codes were YE and WD.

Your TA is correct with a YE block and a points distributor. The points distributor number is 1112126.

njsteve has the automatic codes reversed in his post.
