Thankyou 3 Deuce 64 for solving my problem. The person who sold them to me assured me they would fit and I belived him since most parts interchange between the 1964 & 1965 gto's. From your pictures the brackets look like they would interchange but the shields are specific to each year. My best course of action now would be to locate a pair of 65 shields.
