Is the oil routing the same on the 4-banger as the V8 ?
ie The oil moves down the lifter gallery feeding the mains and cam on the way (but feeding no lifters on this side due to 4 cylinder), across the front of the block @ #1 and up the other side to feed the lifters only ??
This way the mains and cam get fed before any of the valvetrain ?
I had my accumulator plumbed in a "T" between the oil filter (remote) and the block inlet as per the Moroso instructions which required the use of an accusump one way valve (restrictive ????)
I never thought of plumbing it into the hole near the dizzy which is simpler (one line only) and does not require a one way valve on the outlet of the block on the way to the filter.
It may also benifit beacause it (the accumulator) will feed the front and second main first which we have problems running rod bearings from (as opposed to the 3,4,5 main which we have no problems with")
Is my thinking right on this or am I barking up the wrong tree ??
