I saw the difference between a bone stock 400 in a 68 bird and a slightly modified Chevy street 400, in the same car. When the guy bought the car, with the Pontiac engine, he drove it like a chebby and evetually kicked the rods at the track, but it ran a mid 12. Then he put in his "HOT" Chevy engine in it and it ran low 14s. He only brought the car to the track twice with the Chevy in it and he never came back.
