I was concerned as well with them looking "deflated" after cutting out some of the foam. The seats look very natural, even after two years. My concern now was if I didn't trim them, the vinyl was too tightly stretched and would of pulled the seams out eventually. My guy also suggested loosening the burlap a bit to let the springs work a little more independently. We didn't, but could have to gotten the seats to relax a bit more.

After two years, the seat has barely relaxed any, so if your head is hitting the ceiling like mine did, it will for years without any modifications
