I thought that 69 was the year that they switched to the 11 bolt pump? I know the 69's that I have seen have all had it. Also there were two lengths of water pump in 69 depending on if it was an early or late production. All 11 bolt water pump timing covers will interchange, but there are some differences in the timing marks depending on the years. This would only be important if you are trying to correctly restore your Pontiac.
Madhippo, what, year alt. and ps pump brackets are you using or what kind of car are you putting the engine in. This will help determine which cover you should get.
