67 ST300
I've got a 67 Lemans I'm having a problem with the ST300. It upshifts fine while driving, but when I slow up, it waits til the stop sign before dropping out of high gear with a slam to the driveshaft that sounds like I'm doing a neutral drop. All the local tranny shops want to do a full rebuild for $700-900. I see some fluid coming out of the front pump seal as well. I don't know if it's a related problem or not since it's always leaked a few drops and I assumed it was the pan gasket. Anybody have any advice, or someone with a good one near Buffalo NY?
