If it was an actual WS6 box it is a straght ratio not variable ratio like most "plain" TA and Z 28 boxes were. Hoses changed around 80-81 to the metric O ring style. They will physically bolt to to most GM chassis I believe evemn early A bodies. But that type box has internal stops that might or might not allow the wheels to turn correctly.

Real WS6 front sway bars had hard nylon outer link bushings originally in place of rubber. Rear sway bar was bigger also. About the only way to tell a WS6 car.
