Here is my old 416ci combo

Block: 1970 Pontiac 400 + .060 over, zero deck height, 2 bolt mains with stud kit
Rods: Eagle 6.80” with 2.2” journals (bbc std.)
Piston/Rings: ROSS flat tops, 134gm pins, Total Seal Gapless
Balancer: TCI Rattler
Flex Plate: TCI
Bore/Stroke: 4.181/3.79
Heads: 72cc Edelbrock, 300/220cfm, 77cc chamber , cr 10.09, 2.11/1.77 valves, head stud kit
Pushrods: 9.350” .080” wall 5/16” cm
Intake: Edelbrock RPM, port matched only, 1” open spacer
Carb: Barry Grant Gold Claw, now called Race Demon 756-3020RT (875 cfm) box stock
Air Cleaner: Moroso 14" drop base with a 4" K&N element
Cam: UltraDyne roller 295/303 (262/270 @.050), .3883/.3883 tappet lift, 614/614 net lift with .026/.026 lash and 1.65 roller rockers
Ignition: MSD 6AL, MSD crank trigger, MSD 8981 programmable timing control and is sent through a gutted GM HEI
Exhaust: Hooker round port 2"x30” and 3.5" (9.5” long) collector headers, 3.5” to Dr.Gas ‘X’, 3” out to 3” Flowmaster 3 chamber mufflers and no tail pipes
Oil control: Melling 60psi oil pump, Canton oil pan


This combo propelled my 3600lb 69 GP to 10.80s @ 123mph.
other info: 9"/4.30 gear, TH400, TCI 8" 4200 converter, 14x32 M/T ET Streets
correction: I did not have a trans brake in the TH400 until I put the 467 motor in.
Note: went 11.30s /120mph 3750lbs, 12 bolt/4.11s, TH350 with GER 3800 converter (cheapie) and 28x12.5 M/T ET Streets, full 3" exhaust out the back using 3 chamber Flowmaster (no Dr.Gas X).
