I just had a posi carrier put in my 68 GTO and I measured it like your picture. The measurment I got was 55 1/2" (however, it depends on how you run the tape across the center of the rear end). By the way what gear do you have and how much did you pay? Just curious what they are going for it cost me $900 to have a new auburn posi carrier and 2 new axle bearings put into my rear.
