Went over Big Elim in 1977 with a Pontiac 4 cyl powered M38-A1 Jeep.... got over the first time.... then to eliminate, you moved up the hill further for start... had a t-10 4 speed... and no line lock.....
Was the second 4 cyl over..... the first was one of the US Mule jeeps... also Pontiac powered...... Bill Faber and Andy Batistia (not sure on spell).... from NJ....
this was the start of our experience with these engines.....in two subsequent jeeps.........
made quite a few good folks spend $$ keeping up with it...
