I guess I'm the black sheep in this crowd. I've never used Serio for anything, but he apparently does good work when he's paid. But as I said in my last correspondence with him, he'd better hope he's never in a position to want anything from me, because I wouldn't help him. I was hoping he would share one little piece of information about Hurst shifters with me- the correct positions of the two different thickness separator plates (Mr.Gasket/Hurst won't divulge such info). Instead of taking a half a minute and giving me the answer, he composed a full page dissertation on how good he is, how much time/effort/money he's invested in his trade, blah, blah, blah, and suggested I send him the shifter for rebuilding (which it doesn't need). This was after I explained to him that I'll never be a threat to his business- this is the only Hurst I ever took apart, and probably will be the last, and that I'm retired and not looking for any new livelihood.
