Almost all regular powdercoat will last to 400F, high temo to 1000. Regualr powdercoat will last just fine on most engines/heads. The problem, we all know is Pontiacs long exhaust port in there heads. They can get well above 400F. I have not done Poncho heads yet, but have done SBC heads/blocks no problem with 400F powder. I am confident that the 1000F powder will not burn off, but it's pretty limited in color's. If I have time this winter, I will be doing my 455 block and heads with 400F powder, but the key word is TIME. LOL
