Standard engine in the '70 T-37 was 250 inch 6 cyl.Standard engine in the GT-37 was the 350 2-barrel.You could start out with the 400 2-barrel xx code 265 hp engine as a option.California ordered 400 4-barrel w/manual trans you could have the ws coded 400 ram air III w/out the ram air induction 366 hp.1970 455 HO D-port engines were not avail in the T-37 or GT-37.1971 standard engine was the chev 250 6 cyl in the T-37,350 2-barrel for the GT-37.optional engines for '71 were 400 2-barrel w/m40 auto.265hp.400 4-barrel 300hp.The third optional engine is the YC 455 D-port w/the auto trans only.And last of course was the 455 HO.I believe in 1971 total production of the GT-37's were5,802 around 572 were 400 4-barrels,146 400 2-barrels,54 455 HO and 15 or so 455 D-port.My '71 T-37 was a 350 car,I still have the #'s matching 350 but put in a mild '75 400.
