To add to this, I believe you could only get the big valve 400 with manual trans, at least I think I recall Dan Jensen telling me that back when I built my 70 Lemans sport with a 330hp 400 small valve #16 head.
Car ran 13.30's@101 with 1.91 60ft times.
I can't say for sure if you could get a big valve 400 in a 70 T-37, but if you could, it would have to be a manual trans car,if the info I was given is correct.
