A 8100 cant hold a candle to a Duramaxx for towing (650 ft pds vs 455 ft pds) or a Cummins (610 ft pds). 18 wheelers weighing 80,000 lbs can hit 7 - 8 mpg. Then try putting 500,000 miles on a 8100 without a rebuild, thats where a diesel pays off.
