I hope you are right about not leaving anyone stranded as I have paid for my headers 19 friggin months ago and have neither seen nor heard anything. I have also followed and periodically participated on this thread as it remains the sole source of info.
I know Ron likely reads the comments here, so I have been a little cautious about what to say since I don't wish to further jeopardize my supposed place on the cue for getting my headers.
But to be honest, I have grown weary and frustrated with this wait time and see no end in sight. A year ago, I went so far as to purchase a new set of Doug's Headers since I wanted to drive my GTO...got here in a week, fit beautifully and perfectly happy with them.
I'm really not sure how long to let this situation with the Tri-Ys continue before some action is required. I have chatted with a buddy of mine who is a lawyer in San Diego and he suggested some form of class action remedy, which he would be prepared to take on. To this point though I have been really reluctant to go down that road...aside from my buddy, really not a fan of lawyers anyway...but I just want my damn headers!!!
