timing advance issues
Have HEI with vacuum advance, trying to get some more advance for performance buit 400. Problem is my advance canister is hitting the intake & can only get the factory spec setting of 16 degree's. Like to push it to about 20. The engine is a 78' 400 with 6x-4 heads, 30 over, 9.5:1, tomahawk intake, Crane 234/242 duration @ .050 lift & 473/488 lift, Jet perf. Q-jet stage 2, Dynomax ceramic headers with 2.5" Pypes exhaust with the "X" & flowmaster muflers. This combo runs & sounds GREAT but breaks up at full throttle & thinking I need more advance.
