Ok, maybe it's just me but it sounds like someone hasn't had very much luck winning trophies at Car Shows and is a little bitter. Like maybe losing to custom cars alot. I guess if you go to shows and never win trophies this might end up being the reaction???

clueless soul,,,look,this is'nt about me,or what I like or dislike,it's the fact that the topic starter (greyno3) got reamed for simply using a poor choice of words,which was total crap in my book!
My opinions on the car,or Bill himself are unimpotant,and as yet still 100% unknown to all here!!!
I was just amazed that Bill got so upset over such a "stupid" thing as that comment which was obviously made "off the cuff" by somebody who must not have realized Bill was a member here,or had such a strong following of supporters here.
And
anybody letting
any of my comments bother 'em amazes me even further yet!!!
To me how you deal with these inevitable situations like this in life defines how others may judge you,so if ya'll think just "lashing out" at a fellow board member for speaking his mind is appropriate,then we obviously differ in that respect.
I can tell ya'll this,I could give a rats a$$ about car shows/show cars,not my "cup of tea"...

Never even bothered to enter any car "shows" myself,very likely never will,and certainly jealousy of said car show "scene" is way beyond laughable in my book.
Hell,if they charge admission to go any "run of the mill" car show,the odds of me attending a given car show run about 50/50,and if it's more than $10.00 or so,make the odds closer to 100/1,I got better things to spend my money on usually.
Cruise ins and stuff like that are all fine and dandy IMO,it's just all the competition bs at certain shows that turns me off,and again,this goes for the concours "resto" cars as much as all out "show" cars.
Now drag racing is another story,that is my "cup of tea",that's where my true loyalties lie!
And to that end,I also dont give a rats a$$ what anybody else thinks about my cars or myself personally,I've never been compelled to elicit anybody elses "stamp of approval" or "trophy" to validate my cars "worthiness" or my own self-worth,my self esteem is intact and just fine as is,even if I had zero cars or possesions,I'm just not the type of fellow that bases my self worth,or the worth of others for that matter,on items one possesses,or what my own possessions may do for my personal enjoyment or frustrations,that would be just sad to me if that were indeed the main basis for my self-worth IMHO.
Nor did I mean to imply anybody else here did so either.
Pride in one's creation,and/or possesion and enjoyment of something they own is one thing,but letting that dictate how you "carry" yourself,and how others may see you is another discussion entirely.
The car should be a reflection of it's owner,not the other way around...
I never said anything about Bill,his car,or my opinion on either,all I was saying is that the method he used to address this fellows poor choice of words was no better than the methods that guy used to start this whole mess from the begining.
BTW,,,I've called my own cars far worse things than "stupid" at times,worse things than anybody else would ever even think of calling them,,,ever!
You guys wanna keep this "stupid" thread going,fine by me,all that does is keep bringing this "stupid" thread back to the top!
Or ya'll can let this "stupid" thread die and drift off into the back pages of PY where it pretty much belongs at this point!
Especially seeing as 95% of it has been "off topic".
Oh,BTW,Bill,if any lady ever actually agrees to marry me,you have my blessing to call here stupid to my face,she would likely have to be pretty f*cking stupid to marry me in the first place!
And I'm sure more than a few guys here have married "stupid women" at some point in their past too!!!
Ask those fellows 'bout their ex's...
Better yet,ask their divorce lawyers!
