I'll add some photos and data to stir up the jack confusion some more!
The first photo is the jack that came with my 04A Norwood-built TA. Thanks to this post I now believe it to be original. If you look close you can see a "1C" (3/71) in the lower right corner of the mechanism. The base for this jack is blue.
The next two photos are from jacks that I bought from salvage cars. If my records are correct I actually know the VINs! They are both 02A '73s and they both have 3A (1/73) date codes which would make sense. The bases for both of these jacks are painted black. Interestingly one jack column has a silver finish and one is gold.
