You'd be well advised to upgrade the trans... especially since you've got it all apart now....

What are you talking about? there are a lot of factory cars that were 400 th350
the 350 will be fine if built properly, go with a performer rpm intake and qjet
also KRE d ports would probably be a little better for your set up and they would save you some cash money
