John, Good to see you chime in on this. There has been and probably be much discussion regarding the "T-37" moniker". As we have discussed and seen the T-37 in another thread here it was the "Tempest T-37" badging. In '71 it was "Pontiac T-37" but msrp stated "LeMans T-37".
I think we all still wonder where the "T-37" really came from. Kind of like todays 'G-6" and "G-5". or any other letter/number name plate. Unless there is discovered somewhere, in writing, we probably will never know. It was the first Pontiac of the modern era to have a name plate that has not been discovered what it 'really' means. I think!!
