With the 6cyl glide you get a 'weaker' 1.82 ratio low gearset. I had a 182 low gear in my old chevelle with a 468 roller cammed braket car. I would come off the trans brake at 4800 rpm sometimes. The car was 3860lbs with me and ran a 6.90 eigth mile. It would have been MUCH faster with a TH400 but my 60 ft. times were in the 1.32 range on a 10 inch tire, carring the front wheels about 30 ft.
