I don't think there is any 'rule' against milling heads a certain amount, it is simply more cost effective to start out with a head that is closer to what you need rather than milling 0.080" off the decks.
"absolutely NO issues with intake fitment or warping...." Am I to understand you took a full 0.080" off the decks of those 96's and did not have to remove anything from the intake face or the intake manifold istelf???...Robert
