I'll tell you what, I see a big difference between switching a nameplate on an existing car, and puting a unique body on common chassis architecture. Platform sharing does not always mean the car is the same except for the rubber nose. You put a Pontiac badge on the new Camaro, then you have a new Camaro with a Pontiac badge.
