Unless you are pulling serious hp and torque numbers and have a stout rear end and fat sticky tires, a built TH350 and decent converter will be all you need. It's a direct bolt in. I bought one for my '64 GTO from Jegs. I think it was about $950 which included $99 worth of shipping. It was one of the less expensive transmissions they had available.
