Mike, another good note about the Pontiac 455: ALL pontiac blocks from 326-455 share the same external dimensions. There are some minor differences, mostly in the pre-1966 engines, but for the 70's on up, just about anything from any Pontiac V-8 will bolt to almost any other Pontiac V-8.
This means that your odds of finding parts in stock - should you need them - is greatly increased.
