Question carb/ intake interchangability ?'s

I'm changing the intake on my 68 350 engine to a 69 cast iron stock intake. Looking at getting rid of my current holley for a Q-jet. A buddy just offered me the carb off a 77 T/A.

He bought a 77 T/A project car and is parting it out, any guess as to what came on a T/A in 77 for a carb and the $94 question,,,,,,, would a 77 carb -assuming it's a Qjet- work on a 69 cast intake?

Not looking to build a race car just a decent driver.

Thanks in advance for your opinions and advice!!

Howard
