My '72 Chevelle I built in 6 months. My '67 442 took only 4 months. My 67 GTO is taking longer because I am doing stuff the right way. I bought it in '02 and it was sitting in a field, had been off the road for at leat 10-15 years or so. I did have it running and driving last summer, but soon afterward I pulled the 400 engine and sold it because it wasn't fast enough for me. Now my 455 6-71 blower motor is coming together and this summer will it will be cruise time again. Here in Seattle we are having awesome weather lately, I wish I had my car running now! The goal this summer is to have it mechanically sound, running and driving. The interior is part-way done, with new parchment pearl seats and door panels (they look terrific) but no headliner or carpet yet. Body & paint can wait. Its relatively straight, and wearing black primer. Good enough for this year, and I want to drive it!
