Tennesseestorm, I'm just having that one squeek. I don't hear a peep anywhere else. What has thrilled me most thus far is that she is tight mechanically: no oil/trans/coolant/power steering leaks. The car is also quiet (other than that squeek) in terms of road noise. And the AM/FM sounds quite good through the speakers.
My 77 Mercedes HAD auto climate control until a few months ago, when the servo blew up. I lost over a gallon of coolant in about 20 seconds. Freaked me out. Right now I just have the system bypassed, but I'll have to do something (add a valve maybe?) to shut the heater off for the summer. The thing worked great until it exploded. The P.O. replaced the thing about five times at exorbitant cost each time. They were renowned for failing about every 3 years. No thanks.
BTW, you are 100% correct: I DO have the skirts, and They WERE in the trunk (along with a spare tire that has never seen asphalt and a few other items). I plan to put them on soon, but didn't want to put 'em on only to have to take them off again because of some unforeseen maintenance issue.
The color has grown on me, too, and I now have decided I like it. Black would have given it a more "macho" (mafioso?) look, but the yellow has a friendly charm to it. The paint seems too nice to do more than a touch up/detail.

I'll be sure to register it soon. I'll also seriously consider your improvement suggestions. When we drove in and I first saw the car, the first thing I checked was the exhaust - and was slightly bummed when I only saw one pipe. The car is plenty strong, but more IS better, right? It would also LOOK better with duals. I'll probably take a little time and look for a deal on a dual system. The distributor idea is a good one also.
Your comment about the finned hubs makes me remember that I need to go around with a rubber mallet and tap them on; I'd sure hate to go for a drive and find one missing.
