Dave can you just get it welded up and then shape it with die grinder ??
If you are worried about it warping bolt to a set of heads mounted on a old block...
Of course I've never looked inside a bath tub either..
We used epoxy to "stuff" 2 cyle crankcases and had a tough time with the oil/gas mix loosening it up...went to aluminum welding to keep pieces where they belonged..
