For what it's worth....
I bought 2 used HVH 1" super suckers from Jack and ran them for a few years. They picked me up .03-.05 over open spacers.
I was then told that shear plates were the latest and greatest thing. I spent around $600 on Wilson Manifolds custom 1" shear plates. Last week we went back to back on the BES dyno. The Wilson Shear plates made 1 HP more than the super suckers.
