2005 GTO!!! Article is right on the MONEY!!!
Whoever took the time and expressed these thoughts hit the nail on the head (LS6 head, that is.)
I own one of the 2005 GTOs (1 year this month) - Torrid Red, 6M - and enjoy every minute behind the wheel. I can tell you from personal experience that this car truly lives up to the badging of GTO, having owned (new!) a '67 4 speed and '71 455HO 4 speed car (new!) and presently own a '70 (frame-off restored) 455HO 4 speed car. These 3 GTOs I just cited are great cars, but in my opinion, the '05 out classes them all. I'm almost 70 years old (you'll probably say, 'Uh oh, senility setting in'), but every time I drive the '05 I feel like I'm 30 years old again - and that's GOOD!
I did buy and install the assessory grills because the styling cue reminds me of the earlier cars, but that's all I've done besides drive the car.
