Agree it might just need some adjustment. Thats normal maintenence over time and usage. Next time it wants to grind, try this: clutch in, put in 2nd or 3rd then move over to 1st. And dont jam it just ease it in. That gets the syncros spinning. Also as you come to a stop leave the clutch in and move to 1st after you totally stop. Just some tricks I learned driving trucks.

also check bellhousing to block bolts, if they get loose and allow the bellhousing to move back even a small amount, the clutch wont work properly
