Happens all the time, especially with Ram Air, HO and Super Duty Q-jets. With cores bringing as high as $4000, simply too much temptation to do the old "switch-a-roo", and make good money on both ends of the deal.
Also be aware that there must be at least half a dozen businesses using the name "Carburetor Shop". Jon Hargrove is the ONLY one I would ever recomend.
FWIW, there is very little if anything you can do about the switch-a-roo, pretty much your word against theirs.....Cliff
