Heck, I bought a brand new 1981 Special edition Turbo Trans Am in 1981!
And I had payments for 3 years after!

Reminds me of my 1972 Firebird, which I made into a Trans Am clone, with a fiberglass L-88/ZR-1 hood and scoop.
But my bird was all primer grey.
