Hi I was wondering if anybody has heard anything recently from Dave @ ECS about any Pontiac decals?
After reading the above posts I contacted him last August and, after some friendly discussion, sent him the original Emissions, air cleaner and coolant decals from my 70 Formula. I also sent along a copy of the current Ames supplied repop to compare and use for missing info as the original emissions one was rough. Dave said it was quite useable. After a couple months the originals were returned to me. Dave seemed quite appreciative and told me he should have something worked up "shortly" to show me and as above, offered a couple of freebies in return. Nice gesture but I'd be more than happy to pay for accurate repops if I have to. The main point of sending mine were to help get some more accurate reproductions on the market.
Anyway, I waited a few months and sent him an email as a follow up in April but heard nothing back. I did the same 2 weeks ago but again no reply. Earlier this week I went directly to the ECS website and used their "contact us" and asked again about the status of the decals. Three days and I've heard nothing. I've checked my spam filter to make sure a reply wasn't being blocked but its A-OK.
At this point I'm more disappointed rather than anything else as Dave seemed like a straight up guy and our back and forth was brief and friendly. I'm not out anything other than the s/h to get the decals to him but I think I'm entitled to a reply. Does anyone know anything more? Is ECS maybe going through some problems or has Dave maybe left them?
